Frequently Asked Questions

We can be flexible with your deposit. You can choose a different puppy from the same litter with a different gender or color, or we can move your deposit to a different litter that we have planned.

Yes, we are licensed by the State of Oregon. Additionally, we are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA).

We have strict standards for selling our dogs. Our dogs only go to families and homes that provide them with love and affection. We do not sell to brokers or research facilities.

Aussies need ample room for playing and exercising to be happy. If you do not have the necessary space and cannot provide your dog with the needed physical and mental stimulation, it may lead to bad experiences.

We respectfully decline puppy deposits from apartment dwellers. We expect our puppies to go to homes with a fenced yard and someone to spend time with during the day. Before making a deposit, be sure you can commit to an active daily schedule with your dog for the first year, or have friends, family, or hired help who can.

Only make a deposit if you meet these requirements. We will call to get to know your lifestyle and living situation to ensure our puppies go to a good home. We reserve the right to return deposits and refuse puppy sales for our dogs’ health and happiness

They’re loyal, loving, and make fantastic companions for kids of all ages! Plus, they’re always up for a game of fetch or a belly rub.

That said, we should warn you that some young Aussie pups have a bit of a playful nip. Think of it as their way of herding their new family members into line. But don’t worry, with some patience and supervision during playtime, your kids can teach their new furry friend how to play safely and happily.

Start training your Australian Shepherd early and use food rewards as they are a smart breed that can form bad habits if left alone. It’s important to use positive reinforcement training, not force-based training that involves harsh corrections, as it can damage your dog’s development. Be consistent with rewards for good behavior, and avoid rewarding bad behavior to avoid confusing your puppy. Training with treat-rewards makes things easier and more fun for you and your pet.

We understand that sometimes circumstances change, and you may need to re-home your puppy or adult dog. Don’t worry; we’re here to help! We’d happily collaborate with you to find a loving new home for your furry friend. Just keep in mind, in the contract of sale, we ask that you agree not to re-sell your dog or surrender them to a rescue or shelter.

Whether chasing after frisbees or going for hikes, your Aussie is always up for outdoor fun. And don’t forget about their love for water and agility tunnels—they’ll be the ultimate daredevil. When it comes to playtime, keep it playful and avoid roughhousing, or your pup might become an obnoxious adult. But overall, any adventure with your Aussie will bring a smile to their face and tail wagging!

Playing with trained adult dogs can help your puppy learn good behavior, as an adult dog can give gentle corrections when needed. However, always be careful when introducing your puppy to adult dogs. Don’t go to dog parks or approach strange dogs on the street; they may be aggressive and harm your puppy.

How much should Aussies eat? Well, it depends on their age, activity level and health. Puppies need more food than adults. Feeding your dog twice daily and giving treats during playtime and training is the best Look at the dog food package you choose and compare the amount of calories between brands. Be careful; some food for puppies is rich, while cheaper brands might not be healthy for your dog because they have bad ingredients. The bad ingredients to avoid include animal fat, chicken meal, corn meal, pesticide residues, animal drugs, ethoxyquin, polyacrylamide, mercury compounds, dioxins, and PCBs. Also, conventionally grown crops have lower nutritional value than organically grown ones.

Testimonials

My Happy Clients!

Today we brought home our puppy from Table Rock Australian Shepherds. Piper is a Tri Colored and so sweet. We were able to see her parents on site. Mike has such a passion for his fur babies. He was extremely easy to work with. I could tell it was hard for him to say good-bye which was touching.
